Patricia Louise Holm, age 59, died peacefully in her home on October 1st, 2019, after a five-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born in Cambridge (Galt) to Wallace and Alma Brown on July 2, 1960. She travelled extensively as a young woman and her jobs included work in Laar, Germany, Calgary, Alberta, the North West Territories and Revelstoke before she settled down, with her husband John Harmsworth. They built a lovely home together on Blueberry Marsh Road in Oro-Medonte and had two sons, Jacob and Simon. For a number of years Pat managed the Ministry of Transport Office in Elmvale. She and John then ran a B and B from their home. Pat’s forté was in giving of her time, talents, and love to others. She had a tremendous work ethic and put her heart and soul into serving others. Pat is survived by her husband John; daughter Sheila (Sean); sons Jacob (Jennette); Simon (Lindsey); her father, Wallace Brown; sisters Susan Struthers (Rae); Irene Jamieson (Stephen); Debra Coe Kalb; Seven grandchildren: Melissa, Jon, Tamarra, Mason, Riley, Benson and Baby Harmsworth (due October 12th); two great-grandchildren, Payton and Avery; and many nephews and nieces as well as their children. Join us to remember Pat at the Brooklea Golf and Country Club, 8567 Highway 93, Midland, Ontario, L4R 4K4, on October 12th, between 2 and 4 o’clock. This is an informal gathering to share memories of Pat. Donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Oncology Unit in memory of Patricia.
