Sam was the beloved son and only child of Joyce (Jo) Bowyer. 25 years old forever. Grandson of Isobel Bowyer, brother of Craig and Sophie, and remembered with love by so many aunts, uncles, cousins in the UK & Canada. Also loved by Zeus, his beloved German Shepherd & devoted companion.
Sam was described by so many as “a gentle soul,” so “full of life” and “he always had a smile on his face!” Sam was definitely one of those charming characters you meet and you instantly bond with all the while thinking “he’s such a great guy!” Just visit his Facebook page to see the many tributes saying exactly that.
To Sam, “a stranger was just a friend he hadn’t met yet.” Which explains why his co-workers and friends are expressing their shock, their profound grief & their indescribable loss.
In an effort to comfort other people, one of Sam’s friends said that his belief was that those who go on before us, leave behind so many shared memories of smiles, laughter, fun times in order that they will remain in our hearts and minds for many years. If that’s the case, Sam will live on forever.
Sam was keenly interested in the training of support dogs for many uses. It is his Mum’s wish that in lieu of flowers, you might consider making a charitable donation in his memory? We know Sam would be honored and proud to have you do so. You can read more about this worthy cause on the website for “National Service Dogs” found here www.nsd.on.ca and you can donate by clicking this link. https://www.gifttool.com/donations/Donate?ID=1327&AID=5390
A celebration of Sam's life will be held at the Creemore Legion, 27 Wellington Street West, Creemore on Friday, March 29th from 2-5 p.m.
