Ronald Fredrick Crawford

April 8, 1951 ~ May 28, 2021 (age 70)

Death notice

Passed away peacefully at home Friday, May 28, 2021.  Beloved husband of Deborah.  Cherished father to Kerry-Ann Robitaille, Melissa (Ron) Latour and Jeremy Crawford.  Proud grandfather to Jacob Lavigne and Brendan (Brie Zandona) Hrynczak, great-grandfather to Jace Hrynczak. Ron will be dearly missed by his siblings Bunnie (the late Dave) Banks, Patricia (Hans) Kranz, Debbie (Chris) Phillips, Charlene (Norm) Rumney and Gerald (Lorna) Crawford and by Deborah’s siblings Heather (Gary) Wilkins and Jill (Glen) Hancock.  Son of the late Gerald (Turk) & Pat Crawford.  Treasured son-in-law of Gerald and Gail Chapple. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. His companions Danny and Cocoa will miss his lap and his presence.

Ron had a special passion for motorcycles and over the years had many beautiful machines.  “Live to ride, ride to live”.  Some of his most treasured memories were of motorcycle road trips and adventures. Ron was a dedicated and active member of Georgian Bay Hunters & Anglers for many years, and still counted many of the fellow members as friends.  Many fishing and hunting trips with friends provided him with wonderful memories.  Another passion was time spent with various Jack Russell companions over the years doing agility, racing and other competitive sports, especially with the late, great Morgaine. One of the best “Ron of all trades” – there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or keep running.  He had a long career with Coca Cola, of which he was very proud, rising through the ranks from driver to sales/supervisor.  He retired several years ago and enjoyed the retired life – though he did take a respite from retirement for a brief career at Waypoint, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

A huge thanks to the care givers, nurses and doctors who were so supportive over these past months – with extra special thanks for extra special care from Lynne and Elise.

Due to Covid limitations, a private gathering will be held at future date. If desired, memorial donations to the Motorcycle Ride for Sight, Motorcycle Ride for Dad or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
